WHAT DID NASA HEAR ON MARS?

If a tree fell in the forest and no one was around would it make a sound? Hmm. If a tree fell in the forest on Mars and no one was around but NASA would it make a sound? More importantly would NASA tell us? And if NASA did tell us would they tell us everything they knew about the sound they heard or would we be told on a need to know basis? We learn this from NASA's news site:

Out of more than 100 events detected to date, about 21 are strongly considered to be quakes. The remainder could be quakes as well, but the science team hasn't ruled out other causes.

There are a couple of recordings posted on the site and they are quite interesting to say the least. The real question is though what does the science team mean by 'other causes'? In light of recent reports that one of NASA's top scientist is predicting it will soon be announced that life has been found on mars those 'other causes' could take on a whole new meaning.

FOX NEWS goes on tell us:
InSight’s seismometer has detected more than 100 events, but only 21 are considered strong marsquake candidates. The rest could be marsquakes — or something else. The French seismometer is so sensitive it can hear the Martian wind as well as movements by the lander’s robot arm and other mechanical “dinks and donks ” as the team calls them.

Dinks and donks or clings and clangs, the records are eerie. Unless NASSA decides to give more definitive recordings to some private group who subsequently  releases them to the public we may never know what the sounds on Mars are.
